News about garages and prefabricated steel in Iran
The steel industry in Iran has been growing steadily for a long time now, and has
reached the stage where it has become indigenized. Modern day Iran now has the resources and the ability to design,
produce and utilize a major steel project without having to involve any other nations in the process. While the
importing and exporting of steel and related materials do of course still occur, this indigenization of the steel
industry does put Iran in a strong position in the middle east as well as in other world markets. Iran also manages
to export steel to India and to other nations in Asia that are currently experiencing a major demand for steel and
prefabricated homes (http://www.prohaus.com) .
There are a number of uses for steel within Iran, from Prefabricated Garages
(Fertiggaragen) to the nails and tools that keep the building industry together. Along with
these small scale projects, many medium to large scale steel structures are being built as well, such as solar
collectors (Solarkollektoren Shop) and power stations. Much of the news around the steel industry in
Iran however, is in regards to the relationships between Iran and the countries that it is involved in business
dealings with. Iran's largest steel mill has just come on line to keep the nation and its exports ticking over.
The blast furnace from this mill owned by the Esfahan Steel Company has a capacity of 1.4 million tons and will
help to stabilise issues of supply and demand within Iran in future years.
The Esfahan Steel Company has a goal to produce 2.24 million tons of crude steel and 2.8 million tons of finished
product by March in 2009. The entire annual productive capacity of steel in Iran will be 5 million tons of steel
products and between 3 and 3.5 million tons of sponge steel output in the period ending in March 2009. Many online
news broadcasts are saying that the domestic market in Iran has so much room to grow that four times the current
capacity is not out of the question. With a 9% rise in crude steel output production in 2007, the forecasts are
good for the future despite the current negative global economic situation. With everything from large scale
building projects to the door motors (Torantriebe) used in Prefabricated garages needing steel parts, future growth for the
Iranian steel industry is almost assured.
